“Great place to stay”

We stopped here on our way from PA to FL. They have a beautiful lobby and a nice complimentary breakfast. The rooms were very nice. The only negative was it was a long wait to check in because there was only one person and she was taking a phone reservation at the time. We would definitely stay here again!

Some of us were there by scheduled reservation, some of us were there out of rationalized decisions, and some of us were there out of necessity ... and all of us were welcomed with hospitality that smelled liked chocolate chip cookies and sounded like a family welcome.

Crock pots of soup were available from lunchtime through supper and the parking lot was cleared almost before it was a "snow day". Not to mention that personalized attention .. extra towels for the young swimmer, special paths cleared for a driver not able to clear their own way, a word of encouragement for the traveler that is waiting to get home.

The Comfort Inn of Jonesville ... true to their name .. offered comfort to all of us!

We were traveling to Georgia and stopped at this motel for the night. It was very clean and easily accessible to the interstate. The Christmas decorations in the lobby were outstanding and the breakfast was a great way to start the day.

The lobby was spacious and nicely decorated for Christmas (not Happy Holidays, but Merry Christmas). Yes, I was happy to see a nativity scene. The rooms were up-to-date, clean, and cozy. There are a few minor things to mention such as the water pressure was not impressive. Also, the housekeeping cart sounded like a train as it rolled by our room. Breakfast was great with healthy, low sugar options. Local bottled water was available and we got popcorn to go when we checked out. At checkout, the gentleman told us the hotel was American owned and it definitely showed! Also, there is a great antique mall nearby and a unique place to eat called The Depot in Dobson.

Room Tip: Second floor away from interstate has nice view of mountains.

For those travelling to Florida from Northeast Canada or U.S., this is a good half way spot. The motel is clean and inviting. Facilities are basic but they have a nice lobby lounge area for the evening. The beds are comfortable. Only downside is access is from the outside like older style motels. Breakfast is more than adequate. It is just off Interstate 77. The rate is good and the staff are friendly.

When I walked in the lobby after a long day on the road, I felt like I was home. The Christmas decorations were beautiful. The staff was welcoming. After I was in the room, I received a call from the front, checking to see if everything was satisfactory. I have never had this courtesy at any of the many places I have stayed. The breakfast was a great way to start the next day of our trip. It was really good. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone. The price point for this stay is a good value, and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

Room Tip: pet friendly! no up charge, which is great!

I had been looking forward to my trip to the Jonesville Comfort Inn for months.....it was a letdown. Almost all of the reviews on TripAdvisor are incredible, so I was led to believe that the customer service would be exceptional. There were moments of good customer service, but nothing over the top. For a Comfort Inn, it does in fact excel and even surprise at the quality of the rooms and the beautiful decorations in the lobby. (p.s. Why change the name of this to Quality Inn? I don't typically associate quality inns with great quality- this hotel has already made a name for itself as Comfort Inn- don't fix what ain't broke- right?) BUT! Please DO fix what IS. The morning of Thanksgiving we went down for breakfast- after a very late night arrival/travel, we were well aware we were fifteen minutes late and didn't expect or request special service. We made the mistake of asking if we could grab a pastry or two that was still out on the counter. We were rudely informed by the breakfast attendant that breakfast was over. (Fridge already locked too- could ya maybe keep the pastries and yogurt available until 10??...the fridge should be the last things locked at end of attendant's shift IMO.) Bah Humbug- someone must've not been happy about working Thanksgiving. May not seem like a huge deal to most, but I know what exceptional customer 'wow!' service looks like, and this is not it. This was our 2nd interaction with hotel staff, and it was not a good one. Thus, my trip was tainted by this encounter. Next time I'm in the area, I will stick with the always awesome Fairfield in Elkin.
