Great free Breakfast and the staff was super friendly. Older Hotel but the room had a flat screen TV and a microwave and refrigerator. It is also 100% non-smoking! Received a goody bag because I am a Priority Club member.More

First I will start off with the best; very comfortable bed, nice pillows, clean room, clean bathroom, hot shower, new furniture, AWESOME breakfast! No need to go out to eat in the morning - eggs, sausage, fruit, pancakes, muffins, milk, juice, coffee, biscuits every morning!
Second, the not so nice: if you book here ABSOLUTELY refuse room 102! It is on the first floor next to the door that slams all night! The sign at the door says it is locked from 9 pm - 6 am for the safety of their workers and guests but it is not locked! My 11 year old daughter and I needed to change rooms in the middle of the night after I called the front desk and asked when they were going to lock the door and they said they never do - that people use it all night long!! AWEFUL! Next, we booked our stay via the Holiday Inn toll free number and was not told the pool was closed. When we arrived we saw the pool empty and was told "it was on the website" that the pool is closed- they did not understand that we did not book from the website even after we told them twice. We were told that the pool was closed due to a tornado that hit the month before then found out that was a lie. When we asked to speak to a manager we were told there were no managers on the weekend. Our book in the room stated a manager was available 24 hours a day - looks like some books and signs need to be updated! I would stay here again but require an upper floor no where near room 102!
I would like to first thank you for taking the time to submit a review on TripAdvisor. I sincerely apologize for the inconveniences that you experienced during your stay. I understand that you booked your reservation through the Holiday Inn Express 1800 number. They have been informed of the status of our pool already. Nonetheless, I will be calling them today, to make sure they are telling travelers of the state of the pool. In regards to the issue with your room, I have brought your comments to the direct attention of the General Manager. We are inquiring into why the door was not locked during the allotted times. Again, I apologize for the above inconveniences and thank you for your review which will give us a chance to make the necessary changes. If you would like to give our hotel another chance in the future, please contact me directly to make your reservation. Thank you.
Front desk staff was friendly and efficient. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and it was very quiet. Did not have a chance to sample the morning breakfast but it smelled good .... we were there to welcome my Grandson home.
We stayed for a couple days and the staff were the friendliest staff we have ever encountered at a hotel!! The rooms were clean and the free breakfast was quite good and really saved us a lot of money. There was a good selection and satisfied my husband and 2 young childern! The pool was closed for the season because of weather, but the staff made sure we had other options to cool down the kids and give them something to do!! Highly recommend!
I was happy with our hotel stay. Good location for visiting our son at Camp Lejeune. Had a shopping center next door with a Walmart. (convenience). The room was clean and a decent size. The staff got us a first floor room in a good location. It was quiet. The beds were comfortable. I brought my own pillow. (their's were lumpy). They gave us the military rate since we were visiting a Marine (I thought that was awesome of them). The a/c was comfortable. TV was nice. The bathroom was a bit small, but had a great shower head.
I would suggest a hook on the door. Not enough room for hanging towels to reuse.
Staff was courteous and helpful. Good breakfast with good coffee. Would stay again.
I would never ever stay in this hotel again. We went to visit our neice before she was shipped out to Afganistan. We stayed 4 nights. The mustyness of the rooms and the halls was really bad. My sister had a room with BLACK MOLD around the air conditioning unit and the window. Was moved with no compinsation for the inconvenience.
When i went to check out my account was charged three times for my stay and all they had to say was "I am sorry" and was informed it is my fault that I was stranded in NC with no gas and no money for food for my family becasue i travel with only one card. Is it my fault they charged my account over 1500.00? in the end I have only been compinsated for one night and being stranded was not there fault. I am still in the process of getting my money back and i will go all the way to the top to get this resolved. Owe don't think you are going swimming, the pool was green
