The only regret I have about this place is that I didn't find it sooner! I travel to Jacksonville on business from Houston on a regular basis, my stays are usually about 10-12 days on the average. I HATE being away from home, but this facility is more like apartments than your typical hotel room.

My room was a King Suite - very clean, nicely appointed, a full kitchenette with a real stove, the living room area has a couch, a comfotable chair, coffee table, end table, floor lamp, ceiling fan... well, you get the idea. The bedroom is huge and although it lacked a door, it felt like a real bedroom.

Another plus? This is a 100% non-smoking facility - NOTHING stunk like stale smoke. A nice change of pace. Private outside entrances, a window in the living rooom and the bedroom, TWO big flat screen TV's, it really lacks for anything major or important.,

The resident manager Cindy was absolutely delightful - very helpful in every respect.

The best part? VERY reasonable rates, considering what you are getting. Right off of Hwy 17, near the Walmart and tons of restaurants, the location is hard to beat as well.

I will absolutely be staying here from now on!

Room Tip: Since all rooms run front to back, perhaps a second floor room would give you a bit more privacy. Go for the "fanciest" room available - it's STILL a bargain.

I've stayed at this location twice. March of 2010, and again for 6 weeks in January/February of 2011 during a work project. The most rooms are very spacious, laid out like a one bedroom apartment sans bedroom door with kichenettes. Some are a tad smaller and studio sized. Ultra large rooms have a LCD tv in both the living area and the bedroom. Kitchenettes have a few dishes available, but if you plan on doing some hard core cooking on the stove or in the oven, you may have to venture out to get a few utensils. Full sized refridgerators are a blessing.

The rooms are very clean at check in, but you only get maid service once a week. That's fine for me as maid service everyday can sometimes feel intrusive. When they do clean, they do a very thorough job. (but not your dishes. Maybe they do if you're a big tipper, I don't know)

The furniture in the units is not comfortable at all. It's probably stock furniture that you find in most hotels, but you don't want to spend too much time sitting on the couch or chairs, lest you want back problems. The bed mattresses are also pretty hard. No Shereton Sweet Sleepers here. The building itself is only a few years old, and the exterior walk and small/cramped parking lot is kept very clean. The inside decor is spartan, but I wouldn't pay a dollar more different colors or more bad paintings on the wall.

There is an onsite manager, and she takes her job seriously. Very Seriously. Don't track mud into the rooms, lest you get a verbal butt chewing. She does a good job of chasing away loiterers from the motel, and looking out after the guests, unless you get on her bad side. Don't get on her bad side.

The pricing is fair for what you get. Easy access in and out of the rooms. Much more convenient then your 3rd story walk up or elevator ride up a few floors in neighboring hotels. With a large refridgerator, you;ll probably be buying groceries, and only having to open one door makes bringing them home much less of a chore. Plenty of shopping and eating within 3 minutes walk. Nothing else on site, except for 2 washers and dryers. Oh, and the wireless internet is extremely unreliable. I believe its a bandwith issue, not a signal strenght issue. They just have limited bandwith to go around, so bring that wireless phone card or a cell phone that can tether if you have a computer with you.
