I'd have forgone my lunch if I'd known then what I know now about Kilwin's. This place did everything right. They atmosphere was welcoming, friendly and clean. It smelled of a nostalgic ice-cream shop/candy store and there were fresh caramel apples being dipped beside the outside window.
In addition to the great atmosphere, the treats were also excellent and there was a wonderful variety. I had the toasted coconut ice-cream, which was outstanding. My daughter had a caramel apple (which we hesitated on buying because it was so big) and our party of 8 devoured it! The apple was fresh and great quality, as well as, they cut it for you and put it in a large serving bowl, which made it much easier to enjoy. Everyone in our party raved of their own treats, too.
One last praise - the treats were very fairly priced, especially compared to other dessert boutique type settings.
