My wife and I stayed at RiverDance on our Honey Moon in mid-May 2013. We can say enough how beautiful the view and facility were for us. We stayed on the lower floor which was more private and offered our own living room and deck overlooking the river. Callie, Dave and Midge were perfect, knowledgeable and felt like family. While at RiverDance we drove to hike up Max Patch and visited Ashville. The facilities, hospitality, food, and price were exceptional.

Room Tip: We prefered the lower level as it was more private and offered a more private deck. However, we did get to look at the second floor room which was also very nice.

My husband and I stayed @ RiverDance in July for our 29 year Anniversary,it was the best anniversary ever!! We had the pleasure of meeting Dave, Callie & Midge, they made us feel right @ home, we stayed on the lower level we had privacy and beautiful views. we loved sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch and looking @ the "Million Dollar View" and listening to the river and the birds sing. The breakfast was delicious, fresh baked breads, pastries, fresh fruit and jams.Callie even got up earlier to get breakfast ready for us before we left for The Biltmore House on Saturday Morning. The house was beautiful, with lots of rustic touches, also very clean!! we felt like we made new friends for life and we will definitely be back soon. We can't wait to come back and visit in the Fall to see the beautiful fall colors.Dave & Callie were great hosts, Thanks for helping make our Anniversary Wonderful!! My boyfriend, Rod, found RiverDance on the internet and asked me if I would like to go for a quiet week to relax and enjoy ourselves; by far greater than the internet can show. We set off to this wonderful Bed and Breakfast in the serene mountains of Hot Springs, NC with the best view I have ever experienced. We met the owners, Callie and Dave Wellendorf, which soon became part of one of the greatest trips of a lifetime. Callie and Rod were in on a special surprise that I was soon to be caught in the midst of, our engagement. Callie went out of her way to assist Rod with all the romantic ideas and details that will ever be engraved in our memories. Thank you Callie!

This beautiful Bed and Breakfast was a trip of a lifetime and will be for anyone who decides to schedule a short stay or a longer visit. Callie and Dave, along with Midge will welcome you with open arms and their house will be like your house in so many ways. It is an architectural dream of beautiful hardwoods, all the conveniences of home, hot tub overlooking the mountains, scrumptious breakfasts and delightful surprises with each corner you turn.

Rod and I stayed in the lower suite with our own private balcony/deck overlooking the Laurel River. The temperature was so delightful that we slept with the windows open and listened to the sounds of hawks, birds, and the rushing of the river below. This was a slice of heaven. You will not regret one night that you stay. GIve them a call and schedule your best vacation ever! We will return often and this will certainly be our "go to place" in NC.

Our Best,
Rod and Donna (soon) Stone

My husband and I in addition to our two daughters ages 22 and 9 had the blessing of meeting Callie and Dave and spending a few days at their beautiful mountain bed and breakfast this past July 2013. Everything down to the finest detail was perfect. We stayed in the Treetops Suite and had plenty room to spare. The pictures on the website are awesome but seeing this place in person is just so much better. We also used the website to find out about the attractions in the area and booked our first trip whitewater rafting with French Broad Rafting Company and even received a discount by staying at RIverdance. Breakfast was wonderful; lots of pastries, bread, quiche and plenty of hot coffee, tea and juice. You will not find a better place to lay your head at the end of a fun filled mountain day! Thanks Callie and Dave!!! Keep doing what you are doing because you have definately been blessed:) The Sullivans

Room Tip: We stayed in Treetops this July and the air condition provided plenty of cool air....we even had Callie turn it off and we opened the windows the second night , Lots of cool breezes plus the sound of the river below.

My Wife and I usually always go to the beach for a couple of days in June. This year she said she would love to go to the Mountains of North Carolina. I went on line and starting searching and found Riverdance. Sometimes you just know when you have found the place. The pictures were awesome, but the real thing was so much better. When we arrived, Callie and Dave were still making there way back from Asheville. We made ourselves at home. When they arrived, it was like we had known them all our lives! What an added blessing to be in such a beautiful place and have such a great host and hostess! We stayed in the Tree Tops Suite and it lived up to its name.
This place is just Magnificent. We are already planning a trip for next year in October to see the fall colors. Thanks Callie and Dave........and, of course, Midge.

Room Tip: If you are somewhat hot natured, You might want to stay on a lower level if you visit in the summertime. N.C. is still the south......Summer Humidity. We had Callie turn on the air in the evening and were very comfortable.
