Broadwing Farm Cabins
Reviewed February 5, 2013

My husband and I have been staying at Broadwing almost yearly for about 10 years. Every cabin is a treat. We have had many romantic anniversaries under the stars, relaxing in the mineral hot tub, reconnecting and rejuvenating. In the summer we were treated to an amazing firefly show; the tress were filled with their blinking lights. In the fall we saw deer in the meadow. Pete and Mary are incredible hosts and we can never thank them enough for sharing their beautiful farm with us.

Right from the start, we were amazed. Me and my wife stayed here on a honeymoon getaway, an attempt to escape the modern rush. And boy was it! The peacefulness and the serenity of the farm is indescribable. The cabin is so welcoming, Pete and Mary do a wonderful job of making it feel like a vacation home away from home. The hot tubs, just as described, are filled with naturally warm mineral water and heated to whatever temperature you see fit. Bundle that up with mountain scenery that will make your jaw drop, the most friendly locals you could ever encounter (Pete and Mary are more than happy to share their fresh garden-grown vegetables! They gave us everything to make an amazing salad to go along with our steaks purchased from the 'Hillbilly Market' in town.), all while still having some basic modern conveniences... It was a trip that will never be forgotten. Be forewarned, once you come here once, you will be wanting to return many times for the rest of your life!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Pine Cabin, which I feel is the best option for a couple's getaway. The Cedar m...

The cabin was amazing - much more modern and finished that the word "cabin" suggests. The view is breathtaking in its natural beauty. We loved the hot tub (no chlorine smell in the naturally hot water). The night time sounds are so soothing and woodsy! Bring your hiking shoes, the mountain is a great place to walk/hike.

We'll be back, and we're recommending ti to friends.

Jeanne and I stayed at the Pine Cabin back in the fall. We loved Broadwing Farms so much we had to get back, and sooner rather than later. This time we stayed in the Cedar Cabin which was absolutely awesome. We loved the privacy of the Cedar Cabin, and we like the single floor. We love having the natural water hot tub available at the drop of a hatpin. We probably did 7 or 8 hot tubs from Sat afternoon through Mon morning. But that is one of the main reasons for our going to Hot Springs. Hot Springs is simply magical, and Broadwing Farms adds to that magic. This place is so relaxing, so peaceful, and so rejuvenating you hardly want to go back to work, but then if you do have to go back to work, at least this is rejuvenating and gets you all ready. Of course there is so much beautiful country to be seen around Hot Springs, from Lover's Leap to Max Patch, to lost drives trough the surrounding mountains. We have made several trips to Hot Springs NC, and of all, this is the best yet. Hats off to Mary and Pete Dixon, Don & Jeanne Fowler from Greenville SC.

Room Tip: The Cedar Cabin is single level and is a better stay if you have bad knees, which my wife and I both...

My husband and I spent three nights in the Pine Cabin. It was clean and cozy. The hot spring hot tub was the reason we stayed and it was LOVELY! The proximity to town made it even better.
Only comments: if you love your radio/music, bring one. You can play CDs in the DVD player, but no radio or Mp3s. Also, don't forget those flip flops to get you to and from the hot tub!

My husband and I spent out 2011 Christmas at the Poplar Cabin. It was one of the most tranquil and romantic trips that we have ever taken. The Hot tub is amazing and the pine forest is absolutely wonderful. My husband lived in Washington State for a while and absolutely misses the pine forest there and says this came close to the majestic pine forests. The Cabin was amazingly clean and had absolutely everything you need for an amazing stay. I was even able to bake lemon scones!!! (brought my own ingredients). There is a garden on the farm that the owners are more than happy to let you pick their vegetables. We ended up throwing our frozen meals away and had fresh organic vegetables instead. It was amazing! We can’t wait to go back! Maybe with some friends this time!

My husband and I just returned from the Cedar Cabin at Broadwing Farms. From the minute we arrived we felt happy and at peace. The air is special there and the surroundings stunning.
Our hot tub was ready for us with only fresh hot springs water and no chemicals (100 degrees warm). As soon as we unpacked we ran out and thew back the cover and settled in for an hour of pure bliss. The very big side screened in porch proved to be our favorite place to kick off our shoes and talk while enjoying the view of the woods with all the sounds of nature. It was not easy to leave after our three days, and even though we are home again in Asheville, we still feel the magic of our compressed vacation away from the city.
We highly recommend a trip to Broadwing Farms for all ages.

Room Tip: The Cedar Cabin was our choice.
