This is a very nice public course and I enjoyed the layout - it's scenic - and challenging. I... read more
I have played Cypress regularly for 17 years. It's a great course with a great community supporting it. But unfortunately the condition of the course has diminished. The fairways are decent the greens are inconsistent but mostly the aesthetics are suffering. So much goose crap on the one tee box it was impossible to find a place to tee up. The cart paths are in desperate need of repair and there are trees blown over from a storm two weeks ago still littering the course. The course has so much potential but maintenance is lacking.
The golf course is well kept and the service and price were good. At times, the course is much nicer than you would expect in the Fayetteville area. The country club is very basic, but it has a small cafe, a driving range, and putting area. Some holes are somewhat close to a street, but overall, a good choice.
Friendly and well-maintained golf course, staffed by friendly people. Would recommend this to golfers looking for a nice day put. Resort has good food
Friendly folks. Very challenging layout. Some holes finished up hill. Greens were fast and true. Reasonable fees. Only complaints- slow at turn in snack bar, sand cart paths, no on course bath rooms.
If you are on the way to Florida or Myrtle Beach and you want to stop and play a really fun, fair, well cared for Golf Course, try Cypress Lakes in Hope Mills (right off I95) in southeastern NC. Bent grass greens, reasonable rate, fun to play, and you're made to feel welcome. The greens will REALLY test your putting ability...HAVE SOME FUN!!!
The course is adding a new sprinkler system which has destroyed the golf course. I would stay away until the end of the summer 09 at least.
