“Small, but well designed botanical gardens”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2012

No visit to Highlands would be complete without walking through the Highlands Botanical Gardens. The walks show off the diversity of mountain environments from a lake with water lillies to a small waterfall to a rhododendron walk. They also have a small nature center with lectures on Thursday evening and a garden that displays Cherokee medicinal and food plants. In all, it is one of the nicest ways to spend an hour in Highlands.
