My wife and I were in Highlands to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. We were looking for a nice restaurant. My wife does not like seafood, so Italian was a good option. I did choose Black Grouper which was excellent, and she chose an Italian dish. We split a House salad. Both meals were prepared very well, the wine was delicious. The waiter was very attentive.

For our Anniversary, the waiter brought us a free desert, Chocolate & Walnut Torte with Gelato. Wow. Try this one, very good!

The price was not cheap, but I felt the atmosphere, menu options, service, and quality of food made it a good value. Also, Open Table only had a 9:00PM reservation. Kinda late for our choice. A call to the restaurant, and they called us back and changed it to 7:15 PM for us. Gave us time to relax afterwards at the B&B...

We have visited Paoletti's as often as possible when we have been in the Cashiers/Highlands area for the past eight years. For starters, the dirty martini is the best, as is the hot bread with herb butter and olive tapenade or olive oil. The escargot are delicious, and so are the mussels. Salads are cold, fresh and crisp. Everything else on the menu is superb, including nightly specials. The service is perfect. The friendly waiters and staff anticipate your needs without hovering. It is a very happy, popular place, always full when we are there, any time of the year. In our opinion, Paoletti's should be the #1 restaurant in Highlands.

This is one of our favorites.

My wife and I both had the Elk and it was fantastic. The bartender nailed the Grey Goose Martini.
The waiter, Arthur was very attentive.

As usual, Julio did a perfect job of pairing our Elk with a delicious red from Italy. (I think he has forgotten more about wine than I'll ever know.)

They have great pasta dishes, but, their specials are usually too good to pass up.

Pricey but worth the money.

This restaurant certainly deserves it's #1 TripAdvisor rating - the food was awesome, starting with the warm, yummy bread. Then I had the Maine Lobster & Mushroom Ravioli, my husband had the Stuffed 1-1/4 Pound Maine Lobster, and we split the Arugula Salad. Our server was very helpful and close by whenever we had a need. Be sure to make a reservation early as it is a very popular place! Would definitely go back in spite of the high prices.

I hate to say we haven't been here in 10 years but it is still the same quality restaurant as it was in the past. We go to Highlands for special occasions and this was one of those times. The service was perfect, from our greeting to the very end. The warm bread, with the olive spread served, may be the best ever in our 37 years of marriage. We wanted more (and it was offered) but we would not have had room for dinner. The eggplant appetizer was excellent as were the salads that came before our main meal of veal medallions. The main dish was very well prepared but I did have one tough, chewy piece. I'll rate it it as good overall. The truffle ice cream dessert was a special of the day and it was incredible! Definitely enough to split. The atmosphere isn't quite as nice as other high end Highlands restaurants but it is still very good. The jazz music playing on this night wasn't very pleasing, but that's a personal thing. For people not familiar with Highlands, it is a very safe area with plenty of parking available on most nights. Just a fine overall dining experience and we definitely recommend a dinner here.
** A side note for real ginger ale lovers. It is offered here and what a taste sensation. It is strong though, so be warned. Loved it!
