Stayed at hotel for a graduation. Booked room through price line stating last room available. Got email confirmation stating reservation was confirmed. Later got a call stating that they were over booked and would be sending us to a Marriott close by. We accepted and called to verify there was nothing we needed to do to chech in at the Marriott, front desk staff not that polite. We then called the Marriott. They stated they had no reservation was found for us and they were booked solid. They stated that I needed to call back to Wyndham. Called back front desk staff was very helpful this time. Stated they would do some checking and give us a call back. We received a a call back telling us that they had a last minute cancellation and that we could stay there. It was hanicapp accessible. At this point, we didn't care just wanted to rest. We were there visiting family for graduation.
Upon arrival at the hotel, we were greeted by a guy who just got to work. He seemed really frustrated and not empathic to our situation in the least bit. We waited as the key card access machine was down. Guy could not get the machine to work. Escorted us to room. Went to get the key the next morning before heading out for the day and took 15 mins. Got to the desk and told the women that was there what was going on. The phone rang, she answered it and proceeded to help with the caller for 10 mins as I waited.
Decent room, fireplace, bed clean, towels clean
Bathtub was gross. I had cleaner and cleaned it and still wore shoes in the shower. Could move the tv to the center of the room instead of the corner. Couch and was nice. Desk chair had a lot of stains on it.
Didn't eat the breakfast as there were too many kids in the hotel for a track meet or something. The parking on a weekend like this is out of control.
It was decent place that felt alright for what we needed at the time. Would we stay here again? Probably not, wasn't too far from sister-in-laws house but other hotels nicer and closer to Jamestown.
