Pros: Nice hotel, friendly staff, clean, easy to access, decent parking

Cons: sparse on electrical outlets, no desk. Had a wheeled table, no office chair but a ottoman. Internet
Very slow and intermittent at times. Pillows WAY to soft for my taste.

This hotel is a short drive from the center of town. It is on the road that leads to a lot of apple orchards and fruit stands. The rooms are very attractive, clean, and quiet. The beds are comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. The breakfast was good and even included locally grown apples.

We have stayed several times at the Hampton Inn in Hendersonville, NC. Always have been pleased with it. We will be staying there again soon. Do we like the "frozen"breakfast selections? NO!!

So, I complained to the manager during one of our stays there. Here is the situation he explained to me for all hotels in North Carolina that serve food.....
If there is hot food preparation done on site, then there has to be a complete commercial kitchen on site with a commercial dishwasher and other health requirements. This is a North Carolina law. If you stay overnight anywhere in North Carolina that serves a complimentary breakfast, and if they don't have a commercial kitchen on site, you will likely get a "frozen" meal that you put in the microwave yourself.

So, fellow travelers, it's not the Hampton Inn, it's the idiotic state law. To retrofit and comply with the food service law would cost the Hampton Inn (and other NC hotels) boo coodles of money. I have never run into this anywhere but in North Carolina.

Dear CoastalDog,

Thank you so much for staying with us at the Hampton Inn in Hendersonville, NC. We appreciate that you made that decision, and we also appreciate that you took the time to write a review of our hotel for other TripAdvisor members to see!

I sincerely thank you for trying to explain to other guests why it is that we do not serve a standard "Hampton Inn" breakfast. You are absolutely correct in your post. Due to North Carolina State and Henderson County Health Department regulations, we are not able to serve any hot items that are not individually wrapped and microwavable. These standards were put into effect a couple of years ago.

I am very glad that, overall, you were able to enjoy your stay at our hotel! We are so glad to read that we've been able to provide you with several great stays thus far, and we look forward to welcoming you again to the Hampton Inn in Hendersonville, NC!

Stayed here for one night August 26th. Hotel is clean, staff is friendly/helpful, beds are very comfortable, space of room/bathroom is great, nice flat screen t.v.s and good chanel selection, convenient refrigerator in the room, and the breakfast selection was very good. Location is good --right off the highway and easy to get into downtown Hendersonville. Hotel is across the street from A Day in the Country one of my favorite little home decor/gift shops to check out in Hendersonville.

There was a group of girls from high school soccer team staying here and I figured that we'd hear them making noise all night but rooms were very quiet - never heard them once we went into our room. Some girls got stuck on one of the elevators at one point but that elevator was working fine later on Friday night.

Only negative on the room was that the carpet felt a little moist/wet. Not sure if there was humidity issues or if carpets had been steam cleaned or something?

The price of this hotel is more expensive than the other hotels in the area but we went with this one because we thought it would be newer and safer than some of the other hotels. We were happy with our choice but this hotel should really be more around $100 instead of the $150 that it cost with AAA discount.

Dear goodstar40,

Thank you for staying with us at the Hampton Inn in Hendersonville, NC! We appreciate that you chose our hotel for your lodging needs. Thank you, also, for taking the time to share your experiences with other TripAdvisor members in such detail. I have already notified A Day in the Country about your comments regarding their shop! I'm sure they'll be very pleased to hear that you love their store.

Without knowing which room you stayed in, I can't officially comment on whether your carpet had been recently cleaned, but we do have a program in place where our guest room carpets are steam cleaned on a very regular basis, so that's more than likely what you experienced. I do apologize that it wasn't completely dry by the time you checked in. Also, I apologize that you do not feel you received a good value for the rate you paid. We do a lot of research each year to keep our rates at or below those of hotels of comparable quality in the area.

I am very glad to hear that you did not have any bad experiences with the soccer team that was staying in our hotel. We have a very strict No Tolerance policy for groups that wish to stay with us at the hotel, and we are always glad when a group abides by that policy and does not disturb our other guests. Our goal is that everyone in the group AND everyone else in the hotel is able to enjoy a wonderful stay.

Again, thank you for your review of our hotel on TripAdvisor. We hope that you will return to Hendersonville soon and we look forward to welcoming you again at the Hampton Inn.

Bruce Pope

Good place to lay your head. Close to interstate. Not many restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast is typical Hampton Inn fare (very good continental) but breakfast staff was more interested in discussing personal items than being attentive to guests during our visit. Outside pool good for a hot day. Appreciated the iced bottles of water left for guests at the front desk on a 100 degree day - very nice touch.

We often stay at Hampton Inns and Homewood Suites because we feel that we get a lot of value for the money. This trip was to relocate from IL to NC and we stayed at the Hampton Inn in Hendersonville,NC while looking for a house after we had sold our house in IL and put our furniture in storage. Let me explain to those of you that have never done this before, being homeless is no picnic. Living in a hotel, any hotel, is not a fun thing to do. But the staff at the Hampton Inn went above and beyond in order to make us feel like family. The staff here was even giving us leads on where they had seen homes for sales and rentals in case we didn't find a home! I have traveled in numerous states and countries, and to many 5-star resorts, and I have never had better staff, customer service, or a more friendly atmosphere. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in the area, and if I weren't going to be living in town, I would stay here again!
