“It was prefect for something different.”

We spent the day in Hendersonville and wanted to have lunch somewhere we had never tried before. We really enjoyed our food and the waitress was very good.

“Our Second Visit Was As Good As The First”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 6, 2013

Our second visit o the Black Rose Public House was as good as the first time a few years ago. Pub type restaurant with booths, tables and bar stools. Complete with a count down clock to Saint Patrick's Day 2014! Daily drink specials, outdoor seating off the back and a bunch of berer on draft. We had a Black Rose chicken, bacon, hot pepper cheese sandwich with a pile of fries ($7.99) and the three pepper burger ~hot pepper cheese ~ black pepper and sliced jalapeno peppers with another pile of fries ($8.99) Two Murphy's stout draft beers ($4.25 each) to wash everything down. Our waitress Karina was terrific ~ THANKS!

The only problem we encountered is downtown Hendersonville, NC is in phase 3 of remodeling and the traffic was rerouted.

“Best chicken sandwiches”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2013

We enjoy Black Rosé ...chicken sandwiches are awesome. Good burgers, fried pickles and the kids chicken fingers are wonderful.
It has a cool bar if that is what you are looking for as well.

“Wonderful refuge from a cold wet day”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2013

Traveled into Hendersonville on a rainy Thursday to visit the Burntshirt winery. Afterwards grabbed lunch at the Black Rose on the recommendation of a friend. If you are looking for Irish food, well stocked bar and a great selection of beers /micro-brews this is the place. I ordered the Irish Breakfast and it came out cooked to order and hot. The bacon and sausage both were excellent with eggs served to order over a bed of potatoes with marble rye bread. Other meals ordered around the table were Bangers & Mash, Shepherd's Pie and the Irish Salmon. Praise around the table on the taste and quality of the food. Add bar drinks, an Irish coffee and a Iced tea the meal totaled $20 a head including tip. Karina did a great job keeping us well served and no one walked away hungry. Will go back again given the opportunity.

“Very good pub grub”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2013 via mobile

The fish and chips was very good; large portion and cooked to perfection. The fish was moist and flakey, while the fries where crispy. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We did sit at the bar tables which are too close to the bar and you fight for space with the bar crowd. Overall it was very good.
