Maybe everybody in the US knows that Chic Fil A uses peanut oil. But we are from Canada and they could have killed my daughter!! And I think they are actually trying to hide the fact that they have a dangerous allergen in house. As always, when we try a new restaurant, I went online to check ingredients. Chic Fil A has an extensive allergen information system. They state "Chick-fil-A’s Quick Reference Guide for individuals with food allergies lists each menu item as it relates to the FDA’s top eight allergens: milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat and soybeans." But there are no items with warnings about PEANUTS. That made me wonder so I went and checked ingredient lists as well. The ingredients are does admit that they fry everything in peanut oil but claims that it is safe for those allergic to peanuts. Well, if that is the case, why don't they have PEANUTS in their allergy information. And how many allergic reactions have they caused?? If I'm going to test my kids on peanut oil I'd like to know I'm conducting that test!!! Crazy! Will never set foot there again and will warn everybody I know to so the same.
