This museum had the best collection of military items we've seen. It also has some very interesting historical information and a train room regarding the railroad in that area.
This is definitely worth a visit.

Visiting Historic Downtown Hendersonville on the 4th of July we came upon this wonderful Historic Courthouse Building. Housed inside was this terrific museum staffed by very nice local ladies that could not have been more helpful. Very informative train display and we really enjoyed the Civil War exhibition
Not only was the visit free, but they were giving out free ice cream for the holiday, lol. The whole walk through the downtown was worthwhile and this was the cherry on the top.

Come see as n outstanding diorama of the Saluda Grade train track, it's surrounding towns and the building of the steepest grade this side of the Rockies. Built by The Apple Valley Model Train CLub- this is a "not to be missed'
