“Good tiny museum - worth a visit”

Mineral & Lapidary Museum

This tiny museum is located in the basement of a building on Main Street. We came upon it by accident, and were pleasantly surprised. The museum is staffed entirely by volunteers and has a nice collection of mineral specimens, as well as some very unusual fossils and replicas of famous diamonds. They sell geodes and crack them on the spot - a lot of fun for kids. There are mineral specimens for sale are reasonable prices. The volunteers were friendly and well-informed.
Admission is free; voluntary contributions are accepted.
