This is a great place to visit the black lights bring a new dimension to gems. It was really neat. The kids found it very interesting. We bought some small rocks and also cracked a rock to see inside. They sell some hand made jewelry which was pretty. The staff told us a lot about the gems. Nice time

My youngest grandson really enjoyed this museum. The gentleman who did the geod breaking was excellent and explained the type and where they came from and why they looked like they did inside. He was thrilled with his choice.

There is a down stairway to the museum. It is a small museum worth seeing. Our time allotted was 1/2 hr.
The museum shows fossils of Mastodon, fish, shells & more. They show minerals which light up when giving lightening. Very interesting and beautiful.
The volunteers are so helpful explaining the different gems and minerals.
We watched a family of 3 children’s open up geode by cracking them and seeing inside for the first time; to geode-cracking is very small fee and a souvenir to remember.
