Laurel Gray Vineyard & Winery

Their wine is actually comparable to many I have tasted from the Napa Valley regions. We enjoyed our visit and shopped the gift store as well. Brought back more than a few bottles of wine. Take time to stop off here for their wine tasting and informative narration. Family owned & operated - always a plus!

I visited the winery during the Spring Herb Festival and people were everywhere. Wine I rate as average for the area- sauces better than wine in my opinion. Tasting room is small so when crowded can be hard to be waited on or to maneuver around.

Absolutely THE best oak chardonnay that I have tasted in a long time; and their caramel is made with the same. Their chocolate sauce along with their dessert wine is another winner. The winery is unpretentious and friendly offering excellent service

Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Tasted wines and sauces. Cute little shop with fun items and food products for sale. Unique chocolate wine was to die for! Left with a couple of bottles of wine.

A small and friendly winery that should be visited for a tasting if you are in the area and enjoy wine. The reds offered by Laurel Gray, while not extraordinary, are much better that the usual North Carolina offerings. Other NC vineyards do much better with several white varietals but reds are more problematic in our state. The tasting is well worth the price and includes an interesting twist of ending with some of the sauces and condiments offered at Laurel Gray. Some of these are quite nice and we came away with a few of these as well as case of their Windsor red blend.
