The Greenville NC Convention Center hosts some type of event most every weekend. Note that this is not a large convention center that you would find in a metropolitan city. This is more like banquet halls that large hotels have. That being said, it is extremely convenient to the two hotels on either side- The Hampton Inn and the Hilton. You can walk to restaurants or even to the nearby Walmart. Really. Its small but servicable for a small city. The neighorhood is considered somewhat safe. Take care crossing busy Greenville Boulevard in front of the center at night. Parking is tight out front but equally convenient parking is at their side and rear lots. You can find any other services you need in the area simply by driving east or west on Greenville Boulevard from the Convention Center.
