My husband & I were visiting Gibsonville while shopping at the Gibsonville Antiques Mall. We shopped for over two hours and had a wonderful time. Afterwards, we strolled around to take some photos of the Main Street stores and the Southern Caboose located beside of the train tracks near the antique mall. The Southern Caboose was open and free to the public.
Next, we strolled over to the local Six Scoops shop and ordered a scoop of vanilla ice cream on a waffle cone and my husband ordered the strawberry on a waffle cone. Boy, it sure was a lot of ice cream for one scoop...but it was so good! The staff were very friendly and courteous and the price was just over $5 for both items. They have indoor and outside areas to eat and also offer hot dogs, hamburgers and various sandwiches to eat. We took our ice cream outside and across the street where there are some gorgeous roses beside the park benches and it was a beautiful day to be in Gibsonville. The Burke Manor Inn is located at the end of Main Street and just beautiful sitting there behind the trees!
After we ate our ice cream...which was very good, we strolled down Main Street until we came to the miniature trains that were running around on tracks inside of the chain-linked fence area.
There is no charge to view the miniature train display. There was a gentleman there running the trains and had a glass to accept any donations you might like to leave.
This is a MUST SEE if in Gibsonville!!
