“What is happening to the food at Hampton Inn?”

My main concern at any hotel is the room. I have to admit that Hampton Inn wins that hands down. The beds are so very comfortable and the room is clean. I am kind of disappointed that they seem to be removing the refrigerators from the rooms. What is going on with that?

The most disappointing is the food. The eggs were watery and looked like they may have been cooked in a microwave oven. Also, they don't appear to be real eggs but some powdered thing. The oatmeal was gooey and sticky, the bagels were not fresh. What the heck?

Glad to hear that you enjoyed our rooms at Hampton Inn. Not all of our rooms have microwaves and refridgerators although you can most often choose that room type when making your reservation. If we are sold out of those rooms, we will do our best to provide you with a portable micro/fridge combo at no charge. Please be sure to call ahead or make us a little note in your reservation if that is your request, as these requests are based on availability.

Also, we are one of the few Hampton hotels in North Carolina that does not provide a micrwavable breakfast. Every breakfast item is cooked in our oven, so some of our food items may be a little different. Our eggs are not powdered at all, you may have seen water from the condensation on the chafing dish, which I apologize for. The oatmeal is made fresh daily before 6am and stays hot in our crock pot during breakfast hours. Since this is not packaged oatmeal, the consistency will vary. We find that many of our guests love our oatmeal station.

This hotel was used for a one night stop prior to a meeting the next day. The staff was extremely courteous, especially the person overseeing the breakfast. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. We especially liked the shade over the window because it made the room truly dark at night also helped to keep out noise. There were several good restaurants nearby.

Room Tip: Rooms on the back side are farther from the interstate and also quieter.

The staff was fantastic....the rooms were extremely clean and our stay was great. The lobby was outstanding and the breakfast was a good start to our mornings. I would recommend this to anyone staying in the Gastonia/Charlotte areas.

My husband and I just got home from a weekend stay in Gastonia, North Carolina. We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Gastonia. The hotel was impeccibly clean and the staff could not do enough for us. One staff member in particular named Christine who worked in the dining room was amazingly attentive. She really went out of her way to make everyone comfortable and make sure everyone had what they needed. She was so nice that we exchanged phone numbers and plan to keep in touch. Our room was very nice and always well taken care of. Our stay in this hotel included a full buffet breakfast at no additional charge. We felt like we were at a bed and breakfast. This was a nice change from the usual continental breakfast. On top of that, everyday they have a bagged snack to take with you for the day including a muffin, apple, breakfast bar, and water; also no charge for this. We thought this was really a nice touch; not one we've seen anywhere else. My husband and I would highly reccomend this hotel to anyone staying in the Gastonia area of North Carolina.

The staff was excellent. My 3 girls and I felt right at home. Christine gave us wonderful customer service at our huge complimentary breakfast. She served us and cleaned up after us while entertaining my kids as she served and assisted others as well. The rooms were Very clean and exceeded expectations. Very modern and everything worked properly. Wornderful stay and the next business I open I'm going to ask Christine to join our team. LOL. I cannot say enough, I'm very satisfied.
It was worth $105 to feel safe and clean and get excellent service. I would absolutely stay there again.

We found the room to in great condition. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast attendant was especially pleasant and helpful, offering additional food items and sometimes handing you items before you even realized they were needed (ex. fork). Although this was a very busy area, with several restaurants and hotels within walking distance, noise was not an issue.

Our stay was centered around visiting the US Whitewater Center, which was 12-14 miles away.

Super convenient off of I85, 15 minutes to Charlotte. We were pleasantly surprise. Stayed at recommendation on SIL. Clean and very good service; lots of smiling faces. Great deal with $50 restaurant.com gift certificate. Only problem is rooms with dbl bed are tight fit. Largest room they offer/have is King. We thought they would have two queens. We would stay again if it is only for a night or get ajoining room for kids. Rate is best for what you get; cant be free breakfast.
