“Deserves the great rating!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2012

The BEST birthday gift ever! My husband took me here for my birthday and it was fabulous!!
Cannot imagine a better dinner for the price and the desserts were to die for. A beautiful setting as well. Do yourself a favor and GO.

“Favorite Place To Go”

Great food and atmosphere. You want to have a special dinner this is the place. Great variety on the menu. Outstanding desserts. Worth going just for desserts. Can't beat the service anywhere.

“Wonderfully relaxed and fun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 1, 2012

Having stayed with friends in Wilson for a couple of days whilst touring N.Carolina they took us here for our farewell dinner.
What a treat! A mansion house which they proudly told us is 101 years old, which has been maintained and decorated in keeping with the era, and which they happily let you wander round
It was very quiet the night we went yet we could still choose which room we sat in - so we had the place to ourselves and got wonderful service and attention from the waitress.
I had mahi mahi in a ginger/soy sauce, which was wonderful the two men new York strip and another had veal. All agreed it was beautifully cooked and fresh

For desert I had frozen lemon pie. Not quite lemony for me and suggest patience before eating it - the chocolate pecan pie was the best dessert but the sorbet and cheesecake were lovely too
Reasonably priced wine and food. Great atmosphere and service.

We all walked away very happy and full of a great evening!!

“EXCELLENT!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2011

The person who wrote the review about the food being raw and desserts being 12.75 obviously didnt eat at the Legacy Restaurant in Elm City!. i've been going there for along time, and everything I've eaten there has always been EXCELLENT! I've never seen a 12.00 dessert..the ones I've always seen have been 6.00...AND they are homemade and WONDERFUL...well worth every penny. If you like seafood, 2 of my fav. dishes are the Salmon Oscar, and the Sea Bass, and as far as the steak dishes, my fav is the mixed grill, because you get a little of everything, which is grilled chicken, grilled shrimp and a 6oz filet. I've also had the veal oscar, which is also great! My fav. apps are the puff pastry, savory brie, escargot and shrimp canapes, and of course there are alot more! I know alot about this place because we have monthly meetings, and the Legacy is usually where we take our clients, and they love it! Please don't go on someone elses review... try it yourself, and I GUARANTEE you will be glad you did!!

“Surprised city slicker”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2010

We were visiting a friend of mine had recently moved to this area and she treated us to a wonderful dinner here. The food was good (we had veal and prime rib entrees), the service was excellent, and the banana cake was divine. Our waitress told us we could tour the grand house at our leisure and we took advantage of her invitation. I'll be looking forward to dining here again when I'm in the area.
