“Great food, a little pricey.”
Reviewed August 14, 2010

Since this place did not open until late July, I am unsure why Trip Advisor has reviews from earlier this year. Perhaps they are holdovers from the previous ownership. At any rate, Kevin is a great chef trained at the NC School of the Arts. Kimberly does a fine job at the bar, already knowing the regular customers drink orders before they sit down. The food is pricey, but that is to be expected in outrageously overpriced Edenton. The service was a tad slow for lunch, but the place was packed and they are still working out the kinks. I had the spinach salad, very fresh and great dressing. My coworker had the grilled tuna on a salad, and he said it was very good (his family runs a B and B in a neighboring town, so he know about good food). I look forward to watching football games and sipping a cold one this fall. They are open Mon-Sat for lunch and Tues-Sat for dinner. They have a private party room in the back.

“Fine. Not great.”
Reviewed April 26, 2010

Standard food. Service suffered from large group in town for bike ride.

Waterman's Grill the next night was better for same cost.

“Great small town restaurant”
Reviewed March 15, 2010

Both of my visits to this restaurant have been very nice. The restaurant has a relaxed and comfortable ambiance, the food is good and the service is attentive and prompt. We had a calamari appetizer that was good, the salad was fresh, steaks were cooked properly and the mushroom sauce was a hit. They have a small but well selected wine list, very reasonable prices. The desserts were really a highlight, the berry cobbler with vanilla ice cream is fantastic!

“Excellent food, friendly service, good value”
Reviewed September 17, 2009

Dinner at Sean's was great. Truly excellent (fresh, hot, nicely cooked) fried chicken with great garlic potatoes. Also a hamburger cooked exactly medium rare and tender....clearly good meat and carefully prepared. Heather was our server - friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Highly recommended but don't count on lots of company for a late meal....Edenton folks seem to turn in early.

“The place to eat in Edenton”
Reviewed August 22, 2009

I'll echo the good reviews by previous posters. We bumped into this restaurant while doing a "walk-about" in Edenton on a hot August day. It's nothing fancy, but the food was great, the service was great and the prices were great. We had a terrific lunch for four served promptly in spite of the fact that the place was full with only one waitress (who said the other waitress didn't make it that day). The sandwiches, wraps, and salads - as well as the sides - were fresh and tasty - and a good value. My only regret - I ordered a draft beer - which was not as cold as a bottle would have been on this very hot day. I'd absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Parking is easy - on the street or in one of the many public lots. There is also apparently live muisc on some evenings, although we were not there in the evening.
