We visited this restaurant twice now and were happy with our food both times. They have a feature on the menu where you can pick the type of past you would like from about 6-7 types, then pick a sauce (about 10 types), and then pick a protein. The bread they server is very good too. We sat outside both times and it is a very nice location.

The space in this restaurant allows for large groups and they have good service, with Good Italian options. On the last visit with a group of 4 people, one of the people in our party asked for the fish to be cooked more, and the waiter went to discuss with the chef, only to come back saying "he refuses to cook the salmon more, it is cooked exactly the way it should be to have the best taste." As a paying customer, and wanting to avoid getting sick, we respectfully asked for the fish to be cooked more, but the chef refused. I have never experienced this in a restaurant before and don't intend to go back if this behavior is tolerated.

We were there on a Saturday night right after a Duke football game. It is 3 miles from the campus.
We had a party of 10 that was hungry and thirsty. The wait staff was fantastic keeping us happy for the hour we were there. They gave us fresh baked bread to hold us over until our food came - it was great! The food was very good and the portions were large by most restaurant standards. They make most of what they serve - bread, pasta, sauces, gelato. Great atmosphere for parties and families.

LOVED THIS PLACE!!! I have been to Piazza a couple of times and have never been dissapointed! Best italian food in the region! My chicken Marsala was to die for and our appetizers were incredible! The restaurant imitates and a sqaure in a small italian villa which gives it a warm and welcoming atmosphere! I will definetly recommend the restaurant to family and friends!!

The only reason I was able to visit was for a wedding reception being hosted here. They had booked the restaurant, but the regular staff and cooks were still working, so I'll still review based off that.

The interior was roomy and had a vague feeling of vastness, even though it's part of a small mall of diners and shops. The walls were brick and had iron and wood detailing, and were decorated with photographs, paintings and dishware. There were two separate "rooms" sectioned off with seating for about 120 people total. The staff was friendly and helpful (there is a man working there with an absolutely glorious mustache) and the food was wonderful. There is a little outdoor seating in front on a brick dais, a small bar, an amazing wine shelf, and a cool peek into the kitchen. Worth revisiting, and I'll definitely be back for a date or quiet dinner.
