This is a gem. Lovely old property with pretty garden and beautiful comfortable rooms. We had a pretty kingsize room which had a comfortable sitting area and a well equipped shower room, on the smalll side but more that adequate. The owners are great and go out of the way to provide for all your comforts. Details of local restaurants and sample menus are available and there is an early evening snack available from 4 pm is in a comfortable lounge area. The owners also stock a samall selection of wines which can be purchased by the glass or by the bottles.

The restaurants are not close by - 15 minutes in the car, through pretty rural area. Ample choice of restaurant types and heaps of parking.

I would greatly recommend this place.

My wife and I stayed at the Arrowhead to celebrate our first anniversary. We had a short stay, but it was wonderful--the room was beautiful, the kindness and hospitality of the couple that own the B&B was exceptional, and the breakfasts were delicious. Durham isn't the most exciting city in the world, but my wife and I had a wonderful time due to the memorable experience we had at this B&B.

My 15 year old daughter and I stayed for 3 nights to have a mother - daughter weekend. It was perfect. Our hosts were accomodating and helpful with special meals, suggested outings, and detailed maps. We felt so pampered with the luxurious robes, and soothing music.

Our room was very clean and the bed linens were exquisite. With central air and heat, an automatic fireplace and a ceiling fan, we couldn't help but be perfectly comfortable and cozy every single minute.

We loved the homemade chex mix in our room, the incredible breakfasts, and the yummy Dove chocolates.

The DVD library had a wonderful selection to please every age. Thank you for a terrific time!

My wife and I travel every year to a B&B as our Valentine's Day gift to ourself. We have come to expect a lot from our stays, and the Arrowhead Inn did not disappoint us. We stayed in the Garden Cottage, which is removed from the main house. We enjoyed the privacy, although there did seem to be some sort of apartment attached to the cottage and we occasionally overheard some noise through the wall. The Log Cabin was completely detached, and probably better if you want complete seclusion. The grounds were lovely, although we didn't get to see much of them in January.

One of our favorite features was the DVD/VHS library that the Inn provides free of charge. Ordinarily, we don't watch TV on our getaways, but we arrived at the Arrowhead earlier in the day than we usually do and it was nice to be able to relax and watch a good movie.
The food, while excellent, was slightly lacking in character compared to many other places we have stayed. The quiche, in particular, appeared to be commercial rather than homemade. Nonetheless, we recommend the Arrowhead to anyone looking for a relaxing alternative to a hotel.

My Granddaughter and I visited the Arrowhead Inn, Fri-Sun.

The Inn is delightful, as is it's location. Our room (Benson) was beautiful. The room had everything we needed and more.

The food was wonderful! The cranberry scones - melt in the mouth delicious.

The innkeepers, Phil and Gloria were also delightful.

We could not think of a thing we would change!

I highly recommend it!
