We spent one night in the Montclair room, and loved it. The inn is beautifully decorated and scrupulously clean, the grounds are gorgeous, and breakfast was a gourmet feast in the lovely "Keeping Room". In addition, wonderful complimentary appetizers were provided in the late afternoon, along with coffee, tea, and soft drinks, with beer and wine also available for a charge. Gloria gave us a great recommendation for where to go for dinner, and they have lists of restaurants with addresses and phone numbers, as well as a notebook full of menus. Phil is a master carpenter, as well as a gourmet cook, and has done much of the work on the inn himself. He has done an incredible job. Wish we'd been able to stay longer.

We enjoyed a romantic weekend at the inn December, 2012. We travel alot and this B&B is the best we have had the pleasure to stay in. Phil and Gloria, the innkeepers, made us feel welcome and right at home immediately. They talked about the inn and discussed local events that might interest us. We stayed in the cabin. The king size bed was so very comfortable with soft, silky sheets. The whirpool tub was very relaxing, and the steam shower was great. Breakfast was delicious; however, the dinner Phil prepared Saturday evening was a gourmet delight. The atmosphere at the inn is perfect and the grounds outside are beautiful. This is a lovely, peaceful place to visit. A little bit of heaven in North Carolina. We had a wonderful time and plan to visit again soon.

We stayed here a couple nights over New Year's Eve 2012, and were very impressed with the inn and very personable innkeepers. We travel extensively and stay at many B&Bs throughout the world, using bedandbreakfast.com gift cards and this was truly a gem. When we checked in Gloria gave us a very interesting brief history of the inn and a tour. We stayed in the Pyne Room which had a lovely sitting room with fireplace. Phil really knows how to wow you with a great breakfast. Next time our travels take us to Durham area we will certainly stay here again.

As far a B&B's go, this has been our favorite. The owners were great and very pleasent. The food was top notch. The rooms were great (we peeked) and the overall atmosphere of the place was wonderful. The set the bar high and now when we travel this is our comparison point. The only downside of this place is its location buy I don't think they have any problems getting return customers. If your in Durham on buisness, for a ball game, or even if you live in the area and want a night away that seems like miles away go to the Arrowhead Inn.

Dear Phil, Dear Gloria,
We had a fantastic overnight at the Arrowhead inn. The welcoming was great, the house itself amazing and Phil's gourmet breakfast more than we would have hoped for. We will make sure to stop by again on our next visit and hopefully see you soon on this side of the pond too! Warm regards from Paris, France

We stay at lots of Inns; but the Arrowhead Inn in Durham, N.C.is a perfect match for holding our seminars! It has great accommodations, with lots of wonderful amenities to retreat to when taking a break and they know how to provide service! All the rooms have great tubs, in -house as well as in the cottages and most rooms have fire places. The grounds are pristine and offer respite, to take a break from the conference. Our lunches were tasty and well prepared, as was breakfast and dinner. It provides the perfect atmosphere, to learn about the importance of the financials of Inn-keeping while experiencing and hearing about the lifestyle! A great compliment to our work. Heide

We've just spent another fabulous weekend getaway at Arrowhead Inn. We have stayed in many rooms, but prefer the Garden Cottage. A large jetted tub, a steam shower-both designed for two-provide comfort and relaxation beyond compare.Beautiful gas fireplace, easy to operate. The king mattress and soft linens are out of this world! Each morning, breakfast is brought to us in courses. I love not having to get dressed except for a robe. The innkeepers are thoughtful and attentive. Phil Teber is the chef- dinner is delicious, plentiful, and reasonably priced. The gardens are attractive year round. If you are travelling to Durham, this oasis is not far from downtown. We have escaped to Arrowhead for several years, and plan to continue. We enjoyed West Point on the Eno this trip, but have visited DPAC, ballpark, restaurants-everything the big city has to offer, while staying in a country inn.

Room Tip: The steam showers are wonderful- I believe Garden Cottage, Log Cabin and Lipscomb room.
