Shops are of the boutique variety. Would recommend for lunch meeting or romantic dinner excursion. Parking lot next door and can have ticket stamped by restaurant/store.

Trees draped in white lights over outdoor cafe seating make the pedestrian walkway through this dining and shopping area seem so romantic! It reminds me of an evening years ago in Italy. Don't miss the freshly-made gelato at Amelia's and the fresh pasta and gelato at Piazza Italia.

There's a large parking lot conveniently across Gregson Street. Bring your ticket to be stamped when making a purchase at a Brightleaf business. And if Morgan Imports (adjacent to the parking lot) is open, check out their large selection of kitchen and household items when visiting the Brightleaf area.

My husband and I love this area. It offers several very good restaurants. Some of our favorites are Satisfactions Pizza, Cha-mas Brazilian restaurant, Lilly's Pizza, Fishmongers and Olivia's. The outdoor seating is excellent. Cobblestone walkways, park benches, lights in the trees and always live music on the weekend in the evenings. Brightleaf also offers a small select of boutique stores. They are not for everyone, but always offer unique clothing and gifts.

Yeah, it's cool looking and all but there's not much there and like the rest of Durham, no good transit to get you there.
