Some kind of family fallout has forced some of these restaurants to shuffle ownership but they still churn out decent Mexican food. I prefer the dinner dishes to tacos and burritos The guacamole is OK, nothing special. We use them for catering every year and Reuben and his crew deliver promptly and with great aplomb. We appreciate you guys.

has all the usual stuff you find -- but I recommend some of the more authentic mexican - shrimp cocktail, steaks, chile colorado, aguas frescas

If your palate can only stand what passes for Mexican food at most places, then you'll like Torero's. The price is right and the food is well prepared, just not very authentic or imaginative.

We were almost scared off when the chips and salsa came out. The chips tasted like old frying oil and the salsa just didn't taste like salsa. We were already disappointed but then our plates came out. They looked great...not sloppy or boring like most Mexican dishes. The chicken was very tasty in all our meals. Great rice and guacamole! Overall, the food was very good. Five stars if it weren't for the awful chips and salsa. The prices are a bit more than the typical Mexican place but still very reasonable especially considering children eat free with adults 3 nights out of the week.

I was very impressed with the quality of the food - I wasn't sure what to expect of Mexican food in NC - and the quality of the service. I highly recommend it.
