Wait staff was friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is OK. Food was good but not great, price moderate.

I would consider this another attempt at an upscale Mexican Restaurant. It is not your normal inexpensive Mexican restaurant that serves too much food. Having said that their portions are fairly good size. My wife had the Seafood Paella, she enjoyed it but thought it could use more spice. I had the Ropa Vieja, roast beef cooked until falling apart then shredded. It was good but a little dry, if they put some of the brazing sauce on it and it would be much better.

Funny reading other reviews here, some people complain about the food being too hot, I thought it could use MORE spice/heat. I guess that is the line that a restaurant like this has to walk.

Yes I would recommend this restaurant.

Uh, 9th Street, is no Franklin Street, but if your kid is a Dukie then this place is more than adequate instead of driving over to Chapel Hill. Our party of 5 had a very good, relaxed meal on a Friday night. Extremely nice, and competent, waitress steered us through the Mexican and Latin American menu. Everything was well-presented and tasty. The prices were OK too.

An old favorite that was great to visit while in town. Pleasant staff, great vegetarian choice, nice glass of wine, plus a calm atmosphere. And walking along Ninth Street is always a treat.

The atmosphere is so perfect here. The food is great, they cook dishes I could never even dream of that taste divine. And, what's best, they have musicians come in and play all the time. I recommend.
