The decor is definitely bizarre but it's because you can write your name or whatever on the wall (just to let the folks know you've been there). But trust me, this place has the best soul food I have ever tasted. The bbq is tender, the ribs fall off the bone, and the chicken is moist and delicious. The side items are excellent, especially the collard greens, sweet potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and cabbage. For dessert the apple cobbler can't be beat. The lemonade is refreshing and made with chunks of pineapples. Absolutely wonderful. This particular day, the air conditioner was not working and it was a 90 degree day. But folks were packed inside getting to go plates and eating in. The heat didn't deter any of us! Once you go, you WILL become a regular!
