Located downtown in Durham, but only blocks from NC 147 freeway (Take Mangum St exit and go north to downtown loop, or take Exit 13 on West Chapel Hill Street and go east to the hotel downtown, take a left there (Corcoran Street) and the next left is the downtown loop, theater is in that block on left, parking garage on right. From I-85, take Roxboro Road exit south, it splits and you are forced to take the right hand fork (Mangum Street) south to the downtown loop, take a right, 2 or 3 blocks to theater on left, parking garage on right.
Full Frame documentary film festival, Jewish film festival, NC Gay and Lesbian film festival every year. Check their website

Want to go to a theatre where it's an adult atmosphere and people behave themselves? This is your place! We see a film there at least once a month. It's not in a mall, it's a beautifully restored historical building, runs smaller or newer films before they hit the bigger market, and has a first rate live theatre as well. Grab a glass of wine or beer from the refreshment bar and find a comfy seat. Prepare for a wonderful evening. Love this place dearly.

While in town on business, I attended a concert at the historic Carolina Theater. The venue is stunning and intimate--ideal to see a music concert.

Caught Boz Scaggs in May. The largest crowd in the building's history. Great venue in a historic place. Sat in the upper balcony near the back. Acoustics are not good there so either pay more to sit in a better location or be willing to settle for poor sound quality.

This is one of the smaller venues I've been too, but that makes every seat in the house a good one. I saw Pat Benatar there and it was awesome. I had seats in the center orchestra section and they were clean and comfortable. I could see the stage in real life without the need for large screen displays. The seats are wide and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and the restrooms are clean and easy to get to. Parking was right across the street and only $2. I can't wait to see another artist here!
