We went to brunch on Sunday and had a good time. The Beyu is a lovely place with great staff. The jazz was a nice touch and the food and staff were wonderful. Everything was laid back with no rushing you out the door. The only thing, sadly, is the beignets; while they had a great flavor, the texture and plating was all wrong. My husband was born and raised in NOLA and the beignets' texture should be light and "puffy" not heavy and bread-like. They should be covered with powdered sugar. While I would definitely go back I won't be eating beignets.
