How nice, when shopping, not to have to go to a noisy food court. The café in the Nordstrom store is an oasis. You order from a counter and pay when you go in, then find a table and a waiter does the rest. It's a little difficult to know how much to tip since it's not 100% table service, and it did take some time for the food to arrive, but it is an elegant setting (if you can ignore the young mothers whose strollers taking up half the floor space). One question for all restaurant owners worldwide -- why don't you seat all the noisy babies together?????? That would be infinitely more fair than spreading them out amongst those of us who chose not to bring a screaming baby to lunch. The food was extremely fresh and delicious, as was the iced tea. We would just like to know where they got fresh figs in April.
