Campy, fun, simple, good.
Breakfast, lunch or dinner any time of day; whatever you feel like eating, it's your choice. The staff can be crazy like our waitress today or quiet and efficient, but the painted rocks at the entry and in every windowsill convey the fact this place is a little different. The Summer Salad was terrific, but I moved the bits of ham aside. They clashed with the rest of the ingredients. The Nags Head Benedict was full of crab and shrimp with the usual Benedict ingredients. The fruit cobblers were delicious and BIG!
About 8 minutes north of I-85 on Roxboro Road, it's worth the detour and a break from driving.
