Ted’s Montana burgers were by far, the best burgers we’ve had in a while. If you are a burger hound, this is the ‘can’t miss’ destination. And, we just learned they are a growing chain, which means someday we may enjoy Ted’s near home. We had the bison burgers, medium rare, which was refreshing. Up north, restaurants rarely serve meat cooked at anything other than well-done – no pun intended! The New Mexico bison burger was pink & warm in middle, the tomato jam was tasty, and the roasted pepper gave it a nice spice. The Avalon bison burger was topped with Gruyere & a bit of Bleu, grilled onions, and garlic aioli. The meat was tender, tasty & no need for salt, pepper, or condiments. There were some chicken and fish options for the non-meat eating contingent.
The fries were fresh cut taters, and while not the best ever, are good. As pickle lovers, we enjoyed the dish of pickles that was brought to the table while we awaited our meal.
The ambiance was very nice.
The booths were secluded & the noise permitted “inside voice” conversations. The bison head mounted on the wall is real – and magnificent. Roland, the server was attentive but not intrusive. He noticed that our ketchup was low and brought more without us asking. We highly recommend Teds!
