My husband and I enjoy several performances a year at the DPAC. The theater is one of the best that I've been in. The seats are quite comfortable and organized so that no one's head blocks your view. They serve various types of food and alcoholic beverages that you can take to your seat. The staff are very helpful and plentiful so that you can find your seat with ease. These are women's bathroom monitors that keep the flow of patrons moving into stalls as well as handing out paper towels as you leave. It is very impressive and efficient. The prices are fairly reasonable for the well know acts that come through. The theater is in downtown Durham within walking distance of many restaurants. Parking is also plentiful and close (check out the website to decide which to use before you go; prices vary). The DPAC is truly invested in creating the best theater experience.

Not a bad seat in the place. Good parking, nice area surrounding and places to eat within walking or short drive.

DPAC is an amazing venue to see live performances and is the second highest rated venue of its size in the nation. There is convenient parking in the decks behind and one block down the street from DPAC. All of the seats are close to the stage, and even the third tier seats seem close. They have food and drink service on both levels that offer quality and value prices. If you are a woman, try to get to the bathrooms fast at intermission as the lines on both levels can be long. I am a Broadway Show season subscriber and have tickets to several concerts this year because we love DPAC and all of the great performances they have.

I've been to the DPAC about 10 times the past 5 years.I have never left regretted that I purchased tickets to a show, but I have regretted the cost of some of the shows. Wicked, The Lion King, The Blue Man Group, Phantom of the Opera were all excellent and worth the money! The comedians, however, seem to be overpriced. They seem to perform for about an hour and I think the performances should be longer for the price! Ex. paying > $120 to see Ron White on the grand tier level... he started at 7:30 and finished about 8:30. Although he was hilarious, I feel shortchanged on the price. Same with Kevin James. I believe Lewis Black performed much longer.

Re: crowds - leaving after the show is maddenening. During intermissions, however, they have the bathroom process working well! They get people in and out quickly.

They used to serve Chick-Fil-A, but I did not see that offered this last time. Otherwise, there's pretzels, hot dogs, pizza, and cookies.

Overall, I am very happy the DPAC opened and has brought a sample of Broadway to the area. If you see a musician, the acoustics are great in there.
