“Elvis would approve”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2014 via mobile

My wife and I checked this place out recently on our way to the Carolina Theater to see a stand-up comedian perform. I had a peanut butter, banana & bacon panini that was drizzled with honey. I had never had anything quite like it, so I couldn't pass up that opportunity. It was absolutely worth it! Apparently Elvis Presley had a well known appreciation for peanut butter & bacon, and this homage to his refined palette was incredible! I washed it down with a Mexican Coke, which apparently is a must-have for any restaurant that seems to cater to the hipster crowd.

Definitely worth a trip if you're in the area.

“Delicious quick lunch spot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2014 via mobile

We had a quick lunch at Parker and Otis last week. The sandwiches we had were fresh and delicious. Homemade pimento cheese on panini is to die for. Soup of the day was great as well. This place is pricey for students but fine for their parents.

“The Most Unique Lunch Spot in Durham”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 28, 2014

It's very hard to describe this place in the review but I mean that in the best possible way. The space is amazing, a large brick building with high ceilings and crammed with so many treats I wanted two of everything. They have a coffee counter/bakery, they do great sandwiches and salads but also a ton of chocolates, truffles and fudge. Plus, there's all kinds of retro candy and books from my childhood. I had a very enjoyable hour here eating a shrimp BLT sandwich, drinking bottled Coke from Mexico with real sugar and looking at everything they had for sale.

“Great lunches, coffees, and sweet treats”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 27, 2013

If you're a meat eater, the grilled pimento cheese and bacon is the way to go! The spinach salad is fantastic, too. The egg salad is a little bland, but they give you plenty. Espressos are delicious and the chocolate truffles are almost too cute to eat.

The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating (very shady with big fans, so perfect for hot summer days). The whole place is a mix of restaurant and boutique, so there are lots of little knick-knacks and tchotchkes. Pick up some gifts or fun things for yourself.

It's a little on the pricey side, but the food is fresh and mostly local.

I found it a little pricey, the coffee so so, and the food and pastries okay. You can't go wrong in trying it. I love the space
