I wound up at this hotel after booking a package through Orbitz for college tours with my daughter. It's a quick drive from the Raleigh-Durham airport and was relatively central to the schools we wanted to see.
I had never stayed at this chain before, but was very pleased. The property is pretty; looks like a small resort and is well-maintained. The room (2 doubles) was clean and attractive. The windows actually open, which is nice, but we chose to close them at night and use the AC to drown out highway noise, which while it wasn't awful, was noticeable on our side of the building.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was basic, but they do have a station to make your own waffles which was a treat. The coffee was terrible, but no worse than most breakfast buffets. There is free wireless throughout the hotel, and a free ethernet cable in the room. I didn't bring a computer on this trip, and the front desk did my advance check-in for my flight home for me. Another nice surprise was laundry facilities for the guests. Didn't need it this trip, but I've been known to drip BBQ sauce on my only sweater while traveling.
There is a gorgeous shopping mall (SouthPoint) and TONs of restaurants, a movie theater, etc one exit away on I-40.More
