Blue Point has been a consistent stop for us in our years of visits to the Outer Banks. Their seafood is phenomenal and they always have at least two good options for my meat-loving husband. Located right on the sound in the heart of Duck... I highly recommend!

I'm vegetarian and my wife is vegan. So we knew headed in our food may be limited. However with packed house we where seated very fast and they made us both each our own amazing meals from scratch that where not on the menu!!!! They went above and beyond and my wife still says it's the best meal she has ever had.

Blue Point has a great view of the sound and we were there at sunset which added to the beauty. The food and service were good. I would recommend making a reservation. It is not a very upscale restaurant but it is a good place to go if you want a step above regular dining options.

Always a favorite when down at the Outer Banks at our Beach house.
Service is always friendly and attentive.
The food is ALWAYS delicious and consistent in taste, quality and presentation.
My husband always gets the brined pork chop. Wedge salad is delicious and the cream Brûlée is the best I have had anywhere in the world.
Reservations are a must especially in the summer when you can book on line 30 days in advance.
Enjoy!

We have eaten here for the past 15+ years since the days when it was little more than an after thought to its jumping bar. Today this is a very attractive restaurant with a great setting and an "interesting" menu. The bistro menu is anything but ordinary. A lot of creativity which is another way of saying sometimes strange combinations. A little spicy for those with tender stomachs but there are enough options so as to avoid this. Excellent local seafood and crab cakes without filler and killers scallops. Famous for their enormous, extremely tender pork chip. The selection is fairly broad for a place on the northern Outer Banks. Wine list is broad enough with a nice by the glass selection. Beer options are fairly extensive with draughts, micros and your basic Bud Light all there. Not an inexpensive meal but always well done or they make it right. Service first rate and Oh the sunsets. Sits right there on the eastern shore of the Currituck Sound looking west so check sunset time when making your reservation (necessary!) since this is a popular place.
