Great salmon! We had a wonderful experience and meal here. Pricey but worth it. Our server, Casey was perfect.

What a great small cozy place to gather for hours to enjoy many fresh seafood choices. The wait for the table is part of the charm but when you sit you dont want to leave. (winter forces everyone inside Summer there is an outdoor patio.) Starting with oyster stew, apps of oysters anyway, including shrimp, crab apps etc you want to eat and drink in stages. We ate there 3 days in a row and shared many of the fresh seafood entrees and still wanted to sample more. With an open kitchen concept you get to watch great chefs preparing your meals as well as everyone elses, sometimes we almost second-guessed ourselves, but we will try those dishes on our next visit to OBX in trhe spring.Cant wait to get back to our second home. Rich

We have been here many times and have never been disappointed. Very cozy, and not many tables. Nice bar area when you are waiting for your table. You can also eat at the bar and watch the chef prepare your food. It is a good menu, but limited. We had the mahi special and it was out of this world. The staff is always nice and attentive. During the summer there is a deck and outside tables. The New years eve party looked fun, you can watch the crab pot drop.Gotta love it.

Reviews seem to vary quite a bit for this place. Probably not that unusual for a seaonal area although this restaurant i think stays open year round. We went on a Monday, wasn't busy, staff 4+ friendly and helpful. Had a warm mushroom salad that was very good and not just made up of button mushroom but rather a variety. The Oyster Stew was different. Big helping of mashed potatoes in the middle (complete with peels left on) and smoked oysters cut up into rather tiny pieces. The 12oz pork chop was probably the advertised size. Cooked as requested and with a cherry chutney was tasty although far from the best I've ever had at $26. Homemade Mac and Cheese was Mac and Cheese and proably contained 3 different cheese. Really didn't sample the wine list beyond a glass of Pinot Gris which was nice. Would go back again but wouldn't be my first choice of restaurants in the area.

We come to this place every year and have come to expect being treated like crap. Started in their back bar outside. the "bartender" seemed quite young and rude when i interrupted her while she was showing off her new tattoo. thought we'd try inside.(mistake) Hostess is rude and "too busy" to accommodate. The drinks took FORREVER. When they did finally arrive the margaritas sucked.(shouldn't have ordered something so complicated.) The waitress was over her head busy (seems they need help and have an attitude to show it) I don't want to hear how overworked and how many doubles you are on and your cussing and bickering with the chefs, Do your job. We started with the steamed shrimp. Overcooked and not local. The clam chowder which is always awesome tasted burnt. The burger was undercooked. Fish sandwich was a foreign fish, why? living in a place that has fresh local fish and you serve this crap? We lingered into changeover and was greeted by an older woman questioning us on how long we would be because she needed this table for dinner. RUDE!!! Also beware they are not kid friendly. No high chairs. No kids menu. Overall a horrible experience. We were dumbfounded by the lack of management. Seems like this place needs to be restructured. We will never go back.
