It was all very tasty and u got a lot for your money! The slaw was the best, but I didn't care for the rest of the veggies. Ice tea was great & served just as I asked for it. Service was fast & friendly.

This was my third visit to the Jarrett House. I think they may have changed their style of servicing, but there was still plenty of food for all. A lot of variety in home cooked meats and vegetables.

We were a large group, the staff couldn't have been more accomodating! The food was served hot, drinks were kept full...several delicious itiems on the menu...our large group sampled most everything! The trout was exceptional...as was the chicken and dumplings...pleasant staff catered to all our needs...

The Jarrett House has great home cooked meals! You pick the main course and they provide family style vegetables, cooked fresh on premises. They have had wine for a couple of years and will be adding local beer Friday, Aug 2 as well as a sandwich menu at lunch. Service is attentive and professional! The Hartbarger's, owners, are a wonderful family and will take care of your every need! Don't miss the chance to enjoy fresh cooked food in a historic building!

The Jarrett house has always been one of our favorite destinations for ourselves and for taking company there. Our latest visit last Saturday was disapointing. The food was bland except for the trout. The biscuits were not homemade, very small, and tasteless. The side orders were bland and probably out of a can. The cole slaw was warm. The fried chicken was bland and lukewarm. The restaurant is in need of brightning up, new paint, etc. Something has changed and its not for the better.
