Stayed the weekend prior to Valentine's day. Absolutely beautiful place. The Riverview Room looks right out onto the river. Terry & TJ, the Inn Keepers, could not have been more helpful and plesant to be around. We are planning on coming back in the warmer months and bringing our Grandkids. You can't beat the Dillsboro Inn for relaxing and enjoying the view from the decks. The rooms are spacious and have that log cabin feel. We could not have been happier with our stay.

Room Tip: The Riverview room is on the first level. Walk right out onto the deck over looking the river.

I have been coming to the NC mountians for 30 years and this is far and away the best family place we have stayed. Our party was two adults, two children under 8 and a grandmother. The rooms opened right out onto the greatest collection of decks and vantage points to enjoy the river. We spent hours exploring the river, hunting bugs and butterflies, fishing, wading on the slippery rocks. We came to go rafting, which was fun, but the trip would have been incredible even if we had never left the Dillsboro Inn. It was such easy and private access to the river day and night. The town is near by and a great place to walk around and eat. the BBQ place was tasty. I can't say enough good things- just loved this place and I will be back very soon.

My husband and I needed a break and decided at the last minute to go to the NC mountains. I came across an ad for the Dillsboro Inn. The pictures were beautiful and I knew we would enjoy staying right on the river. I read some reviews online and a few of them were not very positive...thank goodness I did not pay them any attention! The Inn and Owners were wonderful! They made us feel right at home and we spent most of our time at the Inn and relaxing by the river. I would highly reccomend this place and the owners! We will be back!

My wife and I just stopped by on our way back to Fl in June of '09 because we had seen the website. We were not planning to stay at that time, just check it out for a future trip. It was a sunday and the place had just cleared out. Terri or TJ showed us around, taking away from her cleaning duties. The setting was beautiful and peaceful. The waterfalls( not huge) was calming and relaxing. We loved the place and asked if there were any vacancies for the night. The place was all ours. As I said, the place had not been cleaned yet,12:00pm so we left our things and went to Chereoke. When we returned, we met the other T (sorry), who made us feel equally at home and even though we were the only ones there, the attention to our needs was terriffic. Made an evening fire just for the two of us, checked to see if everything was alright and gave us great tips for around town. Huge trout dinner in town! Slept to the sounds of rushing water through the open windows and practically fly fished from my door. I hope to return this year. Was not able to last year but this place is a must if you want to escape. If you want the Ritz, stay at the Ritz. But if you want to relax to the sights, sounds and smells of nature check this place out. One warning, the fishing is catch and release.

The Dillsboro Inn is a unique, charming, and rustic inn which provides the perfect backdrop for the interplay of flowers, birds, rocks and river to soothe the spirit and nurture the soul. The inn-keepers are friendly and accessible. Tell them your needs and expectations and they will guide you as to which of the rooms will best fit your needs. There is no resturant on the premises but within a very short driving distance, there are excellent fresh options for dining. For families there are numerous opportunities for hiking, fishing, and rafting on the river. For those who want to just rest and enjoy their surroundings, it's perfect.

The Dillsboro Inn is by far the most incredible opportunity to "escape" the realities of work and stress. The property and its owners.T.J and Terri, provide a wonderful, magical and spirtual way to "find oneself". But the traveler must be prepared to accept all the positive energy the Inn and its owners put forth. With that being said, if you desire the "Disney" man-made excitement, hussle and bussel, this is not for you. If you desire bright lights, loud music and tons of stimulation, find another place to lay your head. However, if you desire an oppurtunity to truly "connect" with onesself, then you owe it to yourself and your family to visit, get to know T.J. and Terri, and stay as long as you can!!! You will not regret it!!! It is truly unfortunante that all people cannot see past their "expectations" to really see what we all should see......a great place to connect with YOURSELF, guided by the most positive people I have ever met...the Walkers!!!!
