Description: Family owned restaurant serving Corolla for 25 years. Casual Italian style with lots of menu choices. Great bar with lots of TV's serving great drink specials, craft beer and wine! Kids and large parties welcome. Pizza, pasta, subs, burgers, wraps and delicious salads. Also, serving local shrimp over pasta or a salad or try them lightly battered and fried. Don't forget to try the gyro, only place in Corolla to get one and try a gyro pizza, it's wonderful or a Greek salad.

Consistently good pizza at a good price and the staff is awesome. Only criticism would be that it could use some interior updating.

I got the Corolla seafood dish and it was actually excellent! Real fresh picked crab meat and fresh shrimp and in a very tasty cream sauce. I seem surprised because I thought the place was just a simple pizza joint but it is much more. I have had their gyro, pizzas, and the seafood dish mentioned above; all were nothing short of excellent!

We went here as it was the only place open when Hurricane Sandy was wailing in the OBX. As we pulled up they turned the sign off, my husband stuck his head in and they very kindly offered to make us a to go order. The employees were about to head home due to flooding in the area but stayed a few minutes more to help us out. Service that good doesnt happen often and we thanked them profusely! We got home and a had a fine hot meal. The food was tasty and good portion sizes too! Would go back.

We were looking for someplace to eat and this was the only place open in Corolla. Just was we walked up they turned the open sign off. The manager told us they were closing early becasue their staff had to get off the island before the road was closed do to hurricane Sandy. He said they would be happy to cook something for us to go if we were willing to wait for a few minutes. We said yes, of course. They made us lunch and packed it to go before they headed out to try and get home. Service like this cannot be beat.

Absolutely terrible. My family and I decided to give the Tomato Patch a try while we were visiting the obx. We walked in and were seated, a very large guy served us and immediately had a bad attitude. We inquired about the 12" $8.99 pizza we saw that was listed as a "special" on the sign, before we could even finish asking about it he cut us off and told us "if you took the time to read the whole sign you would have seen that it said for carry out only". He continue giving us a bad attitude while we ordered our meal. He brough our food out several minutes later and left. The food was decent, I had the ricotta calzone which was barely warm. He did not come by again to ask if the food was ok, or to refill our drinks which had been empty for along time. Now, we were in a group of 6 people, all adults, not being rowdy or making a mess. He came back and gave us our bill, and we noticed he had already added a $5 gratuity on each of our tickets, and had given us VERY poor service. We asked him if our tip amount wasn't something that should be optional since his service was very poor and he said "thte menu says added gratuity for a group of 6 or more" , now I could understand this if the place had been packed and we had messy children in our group, or if had given good service and came back to give us refills. He told us "i served your food to you what mroe do you want?" we said refills would have been nice, and he had nothing more to say. So after reluctantly paying for our mills and the added gratuity we told him that we would not be back or recommend the Tomato Patch to anyone he said "well I dont really care, have a good night"...........VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, VERY RUDE, DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! Go to Cosmos pizza, or somewhere else if you are visiting the obx and wanting pizza.
