“What a view!!”
Reviewed July 28, 2014

So much fun climbing to the top with my daughter who overcame a huge fear of heights!! It was a beautifully clear day and we could see for miles in every direction!! Definitely worth the $8, all of which is reinvested into the maintainance and preservation of the light house and it's grounds.

“Beautiful!”
Reviewed July 27, 2014

We loved this lighthouse! Though Hatteras is steeped in history, this lighthouse was beautiful and somewhat rustic. Our teens didn't want to stop to see it, but they loved it. It is right off the road if you are in the area for a wild horse tour, so definitely stop by, even if just to take a quick picture.

Not sure what else this place has to offer, but it looks like a lot - we were here after hours and watched the sunset - so pretty!!

“Cool brick lighthouse”
Reviewed July 26, 2014

This lighthouse is open for climibing and the views at the top are worth the climb. There are educational signs for reading on the landings on the way up. No video or live programs to inform you about the lighthouse.

“Beautiful Red Brick Lighthouse”
Reviewed July 24, 2014

I love lighthouses and this one is so beautiful at the northernmost part of Cape Hatteras National Seashore. It is open for climbing, weather permitting during daylight hours . The lighthouse, double keepers' quarters, and other out buildings have been beautifully restored. This was my favorite lighthouse in the Outer Banks.
