“Different”

This lighthouse is a bit different from what you usually see and great fun for the family. Kids love it. They have well kept grounds and you can picnic near by. You can go in when the guide is there.

“Wonderful...unless you have a fear of heights!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2012

For just $7 you can climb 200+ stairs to the top of Currituck Beach Lighthouse, but make no mistake, the stairs are narrow and spiral all the way to the top. If you have a fear of heights this is not a place for you. If you don't, then it's well worth the price and when you get to the top you can walk all around the outside and see all around. Breathtaking views!!!

“Cool View!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2012

Well worth the $7 (goes towards upkeep)! We climbed all the way to the top. Very informative signs as you are climbing. Steps with a place to rest for those that need it. Great view at the top and you can walk all around. Lots more to do than just the lighthouse. You can stroll on the boardwalk. There is a Wildlife Center and the Village. Great place to visit for all ages.

“Interesting Lighthouse”

We didn't climb to the top - but it was a beautiful lighthouse. There was a lot of information about the lighthouse in the small gift shop.

“My knees were killing me”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

My knees were killing me, but the views were breathtaking! There are 200+ steps going to the top of the lighthouse. Once you are at the top, you can walk around the outside of the lighthouse to see the sound, further up Corolla, back down towards Duck, and out at the Atlantic.
