Great fun. Youth rebuilding at high speed. Recommend more than the minimum of 5 laps I did 8 laps and plan to return for one of the multi-session offerings.

We went for both Nationwide and Sprint Cup races for Memorial Day weekend. I love the track in itself for it has great sight lines and you can see the entire track from most locations. The activities outside the track were plentiful and fun. But a few things to be aware of. It's extremely loud during green flag racing so if that bothers you bring ear plugs. You will not be able to talk to the person sitting next to you during green flag racing. Also bring a radio if you want to hear anything about the race, as the noise is so loud you can't hear the track announcers or the track radio feed. The huge HD screen is great for seeing replays and other race action. The best seats are in the General Motors section and I'm not positive but I think it's around row 40 where the overhang begins, so if you want to be covered from the heat or rain, get above that row. As excited as I was to be there, the racing was incredibly boring. After two laps of a restart the cars string out into long single file runs with huge gaps between cars. Our race had zero wrecks and hardly any cautions, so basically we were watching cars go around by themselves. I don't know if this is normal at Charlotte, but it was during both races that weekend. I'm not sure if we will go back, because I just don't like that kind of racing.

I went with a group from work and we had the opportunity to ride around the track in some race cars -- it was AWESOME! The food in the upscale restaurant overlooking the track was also very good. Excellent experience!!!

close to home for crew. Dislike NASCAR weeks: throngs of people, many not knowing where/how to drive/where they are going, traffic moves at a crawl, every place is busy. If not here for business, might be time to get out of town. I'd go to Asheville :)
