Yes, in the Blue Ridge Mountains of NC...you too can experience what we experienced in FRESH and authentic Mexican food. The owner is American but lived in Mexico for many years. He's brought back some great recipes and is serving them here at his great little restaurant in Chimney Rock. We arrived and were seated out in the back deck where you can see and hear the roaring of the fast flowing water from the river; great mountain atmosphere! We had the red sangria and beef soft tacos to start; delish! Then...here's was the best part... the Tostada's were absolutely AWESOME and so full of flavor it was amazing. 2 come on a plate with rice, but I substituted for refried beans...and got a side of guacamole. SUPERB! We definitely will be back as we can't find this kind of quality Mexican food in Charlotte where we live!! Cheers and please take a trip to Chimney Rock, Lake Lure and Bat Cave NC ... enjoy the mountains, see the fall colors, but if you like Mexican food, you'll have to be sure to make it to Tia B's; on the upper strip of all the shops in Chimney Rock main street.
Only suggestion would be to have filtered water; not to serve tap water -- too chlorinated. This would enhance the experience greatly.
