Just had lunch at this welcoming bistro in the heart of Chimney Rock Village. Checked it out based on recommendation from a local and was not disappointed. It's not fancy--just a wonderful combination of casual, friendly atmosphere and tasty, well-prepared food. It's all you could hope for in a small, locally owned restaurant in a touristy strip of Chimney Rock Village. The owners, a married couple, were there with there toddler son, welcoming tourists and regulars alike. The waitresses were obviously having fun, but they were very attentive and helpful. My wife and I both tried the soup of the day -- a delicious creamy roasted red pepper soup with gouda melted in -- along with half sandwiches. She really liked her chicken salad, and I loved my prime rib. The breakfast menu looked great, and we hear the dinner is more creative than you might expect. We hope to go back before we leave Lake Lure.
