Just had lunch at this welcoming bistro in the heart of Chimney Rock Village. Checked it out based on recommendation from a local and was not disappointed. It's not fancy--just a wonderful combination of casual, friendly atmosphere and tasty, well-prepared food. It's all you could hope for in a small, locally owned restaurant in a touristy strip of Chimney Rock Village. The owners, a married couple, were there with there toddler son, welcoming tourists and regulars alike. The waitresses were obviously having fun, but they were very attentive and helpful. My wife and I both tried the soup of the day -- a delicious creamy roasted red pepper soup with gouda melted in -- along with half sandwiches. She really liked her chicken salad, and I loved my prime rib. The breakfast menu looked great, and we hear the dinner is more creative than you might expect. We hope to go back before we leave Lake Lure.

Had a wonderful lunch at Medina's. The Chop Club Salad was absolutely delicious and very filling. The owners do an excellent job of making everyone feel welcome. The service was very good and the atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing with a beautiful view of the falls and Chimney Rock.

We stopped here for lunch before climbing Chimney Rock. The waitress was very friendly and the service was great. Everyone loved their food, from the kids menu to the adults. You have to try their Cobb Salad, all fresh ingredients and turkey/ham right off the bone. Will definitely be back!

We hit the restaurant with 13 people for breakfast, including 4 children under 8 years old.The service was great and the waitress was so accommodating to all our needs with coffee for the adults and milk for the children. Everyone commented on how good the food was and the pancakes are very large. Some of our group went back several times for lunch or dinner.

If you travel to Chimney Rock, make sure you stop in at Medina's -- they do breakfast, lunch, and dinner on some nights. For breakfast, they do lots of eggs, but if you do eat meat, then order the Royal hash....I never eat hash, and I ate it 2 days in a row!!! It's amazing!! Very casual and fun. They make a lot of the dishes from scratch, and it shows. No side dishes being scooped out of a tub here...fresh cole slaw and pasta salad. The owners are so nice! Very family friendly!
