“Delightful lunch spot with view of Chimney Rock”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2012

Today we had lunch at Medina's Village Bistro and chose a table outside on a beautiful Fall day. It offered a wonderful view of Chimney Rock and the traffic was minimal on this Wednesday making for a very enjoyable atmosphere. We both had the incredible Red Pepper w/Gouda soup. It was very similar to a rich tomato bisque and just delicious. For sandwiches we had the Toasted Cuban and the Philadelphia Hoagie. Both were stuffed with delicious meats and were top quality. Not the least bit skimpy. The prices are very fair for such good food. The service was excellent and not one complaint from us other than a rocking table which I easily fixed with a heavily folded paper towel under one of the legs. We highly recommend! Plenty of parking in front and also right next door in the $1.00 all-day parking lot.

“Amazing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2012

All other places were already closed but they were open - nervous because ate somewhere else & were disappointed. Went for a late dinner & were highly impressed. The service was fantastic! The food was delicious! My husband who never eats (hates) meatloaf loved their's. It's a smaller restaurant you can eat in or outside. It was very comfortable - felt like you were at home. We loved it! Even tried the famous cinnamon rolls - crispy/flaky on the outside, soft on the inside - very yummy! Def. stop here!

“A little gem next to chimney rock”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2012

After spending the afternoon hiking at chimney rock we stopped in here for dinner based on other reviews. We were not disappointed the quality of the food and service were excellent. Highly recommend the red pepper soup with Gouda cheese, pasta salad and a nice warm cinnamon roll. The staff was very friendly. We truly found an unexpected gem in the nc mountains.

“Take out sammy's today for lunch were dee-lish!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2012

Hubby, puppy & I spent the day as vendors for a fund raising festival for the local Lake Lure library. This was held at the very charming (and pet friendly, of course), 1927 Lake Lure Inn & Spa. We live close by in Hendersonville, NC, but haven't spent time in this area since my side of the family had a reunion here a few years ago.

We asked a friend who was a volunteer at the Everything Herb Festival, (she's a Lake Lure resident), where we could zip out to get a quick lunch to go & she said Medina's in Chimney Rock - hands down!

Well, what a surprisingly tasty meal! Hubby got the Turkey Club on Marble Rye and brought me back the daily lunch special - a Turkey Cheddar Bacon Wrap with Ranch dressing. Both sammys were HUGE...also very crisp and fresh tasting. I think my hubby said they roast their own turkey there? I had the pasta salad as a side and it was yum-o!

When hubby brought back our lunch, he was salivating over their dinner options for the evening, (he's quite a picky chef who does most of the cooking in our household...he loves it, one of his hobbies!) What else can I say except we look forward to the next time we are in Chimney Rock to eat at Medina's!!!

“That little bit extra”

Not surprising Medina's gets local business and good online reviews. They put it the personal touch on food preparation. Very pleasant.
