We went for a late lunch on a Friday, so the crowd was slow. We got a local recommendation, so decided to try it. In our party of 3, one ordered an omelet, one a meatloaf sandwich, and one a ham & cheese sandwich. All of the items were very good. The meatloaf sandwich was huge, having about an inch thick slab of meatloaf with lettuce, tomato & condiments. After a disappointing breakfast, the omelet was a hit with that one. Sweet potato fries are on the menu, sprinkled with brown sugar. We couldn't hold any dessert, but the bakery can be seen from the sidewalk and the selections are tempting. The interior is freshly refurbished and seating is upstairs. There is space for live music on certain evenings. Outdoor balcony seating overlooks the street.

While visiting Chimney Rock we stopped into Laura's House for lunch. We were greeted warmly when we entered and escorted upstairs to a table with an incredible view of Chimney Rock. The whole wall of the restaurant is windows facing the landmark. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. She brought us some snack mix to munch on while our food was being prepared although we got our order in a reasonable amount of time. Everyone really enjoyed their sandwiches and we wished we would have had room for dessert because the cakes looked amazing. We were going to stop back after our travels in Chimney Rock but we forgot. I thought the prices were reasonable for the lunch items we ordered.

Recently ate at this restaurant; pricey for what you get. $2.95 for kids' drinks!! They're known for their deserts, but for almost $4.00 per slice - they're very small. NOT WORTH THE PRICE!

They really need to scrub those tables each day - mine was sticky and I had to get a wet nap and scrub it. The waiter was spraying and wiping -but, they needed more attention.
I thought prices were a bit high for the food - but, it was tasty BBQ.
kids meals are huge. They do offer a table w/ kids stuff on it - books, toys, etc - that is a nice touch.
They had outdoor seating - but, a little chilly for us.
Amazing view of Chimney rock.

Chimney Rock is a fantastic place to visit and Laura's House Bakery is straight in front of the Entrance and easy to find.
The second floor balcony provides a panoramic view of Chimney Rock.
