We climbed to the top of the chimney, to the top of the falls and then hiked down to the bottom of the falls. Very impressive. At 400 feet the longest falls in the East. Entry fee. Get there early so you can park close to the base which has limited parking or you will need to take shuttle bus.

Such wonderful views from up the rock! We also went hiking to Hickory Nut and that was a great experience. To see the waterfall at the end.. priceless!!

We got to the top!! Did the wildlife walk before, saw the possum and the wood chuck. Views above were incredible. Amazing history on the park.

A definite must-do! The elevator whisks you up 26 floors in 32 seconds. There is an elevator operator and at the top there is a gift shop and small food station. The food station was closed when we went up on January 2nd but they still had hot chocolate and hot tea available!

My daughter and I visited this park while we were staying in the Lake Lure area.

The tickets cost $17 per adult for a one-day admission ($8 for children ages 5 - 15).

We actually enjoyed the climb up all the stairs, but there is an elevator to the top if you are unable to climb stairs. There are different routes to the top while using the stairs, so it was fun checking out each stop along the way.

Awesome vistas!

Be Safe & Enjoy!
